Fort Worth Police Arrest Two Suspects Involved in Triple Homicide Spanning Multiple Counties

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) —Fort Worth Police are dealing with a triple homicide that spans multiple counties.

44-year-old Lamont Cousins and 32-year-old Andrew Vandermeer are in custody at the Fort Worth Jail on capital murder charges.

Detectives were first called to a used car sales lot in the 4200 block of Benbrook Highway in Fort Worth where they discovered a woman, 65-year-old Virginia Lewis, shot to death inside the building.

Later Tuesday, two people were found dead inside an abandoned Palo Pinto County building.

Police say it was the owner of Bill’s Auto Sales, Clayton R. Turrentine and employee, Veronica Del Jones.

According to the arrest affidavit, Cousins had a disagreement with Turrentine over a car that Cousins had sold him.

Police say Vandermeer told detectives Cousins called him to come to Bill’s Auto Sales and when he got there, the man and woman were on a couch bleeding, but still alive.

Vandermeer told detectives Cousins instructed him to tie them up with a rope and stop at an old abandoned building. According to the arrest affidavit, Cousins then  took Turentine and Jones out of the truck and shot them.
