
Fort Worth, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A retired Fort Worth Police officer has been indicted on an embezzlement charge
53-year old Michael Cagle, a retired Fort Worth Police sergeant is accused of embezzling between $30,000 and $150,000 from an officer’s benevolent fund that aids officers beginning in 2015 while he served as treasurer, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The Fort Worth Benevolent Association provided death benefits to the families of fallen officers killed in the line of duty, and helps those who have financial difficulties due to an illness.
Cagle was listed as treasurer in 2019. He retired earlier this year.
