(WBAP/KLIF) — A North Texas police officer has been found dead. University Park police Sergeant Robert Ramsey was found dead, Thursday morning, at Lake Tawakoni. The 12-year law enforcement veteran was reported missing after failing to return home after duck hunting.
According to Assistant Police Chief Jim Savage, his body was recovered from the lake and stated that Ramsey will be sorely missed. Police believe that Ramsey was launching his boat at the public boat ramp around the time of his death. They found his boat drifting on the lake later in the day.
