Garland, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Department of State Health Services has selected the City of Garland to serve as one of several vaccination hubs in Dallas County.

COVID-19 vaccine is still in very limited supply and being prioritized to Phase 1A health care workers and first responders and to adults who meet the Phase 1B criteria (65 and older, or those with underlying medical conditions).
Demand for the shots is high as over 17,000 people have already registered for some 1,000 doses, according to Garland Mayor Scott Lemay.
While the initial allocation of vaccines is for Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse we anticipation future allocations will be available for anyone who qualifies, regardless of residency.
