Arlington PD Arrests 18-Year-Old Man for Shooting Death of Convenience Store Clerk

ARLINGTON (WBAP/KLIF)- UPDATE: The Arlington Police Department has made an arrest in connection to the murder of Jordan Hightower, a convenience store clerk who was shot and killed at his workplace on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Thursday morning, officers took 18-year-old Dorian Woodard, of Arlington, into custody without incident. He has been charged with one count of Capital Murder.

“We owe a great deal of thanks to tipsters who provided crucial information in the case,” said Chief of Police Al Jones. “I am also thankful for the widespread news coverage of this case by local media, which enabled detectives to receive multiple tips that helped them to identify Mr. Woodard as the gunman who was captured on store surveillance video committing this crime.”

Arlington Police need your help locating a suspect who shot and killed a convenience store clerk early Sunday morning (1/17) during an attempted robbery.
 
Tim Ciesco with APD said the suspect is captured on surveillance video at the  store located on 100 east Bardin Road (E-Z Mart) at 3:17am.

The suspect is described as a tall black male with long hair. He was seen wearing a

 bright red hoodie, black shirt, multi colored pants, a red hat and a face mask. 
The convenience store (EZ-Mart) has put up a 5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and Oak Farms dairy is offering a $10,000 reward. If you have any information contact Arlington Police.
