FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF)-The Fort Worth ISD is helping students struggling with grades during the pandemic.
Students with failing grades have the chance to make it up by re-taking tests and assignments that are below a 70%.
“The Covid-19 pandemic continues to present extenuating circumstances for student’s and factors out of the students control,” said Clint Bond with FWISD.
“Some students don’t even have internet so they can’t even present the information. With help of a counselor, teachers, parent and students they will come up with what they really need to do to show they really understand the subject,’ said Bond.
The District reported a large number of students who are at lest failing one class.
“Because we have students learning from a far or wherever they can get internet- it follows that we will fund that students are struggling,” he said.
Part of the district’s policy also addresses attendance restoration. Students have the last day of the 2020-2021 school year to make up grades.
