The new Dallas-based affordable generic drug company that bears Mark Cuban’s name this week starts construction of a manufacturing facility in Deep Ellum. The Mark Cuban Cost Plus Drug Company says construction begins Wednesday to turn a building Cuban already owns in the 300 block of S. Walton St. into a drug making plant. Company spokesmen hope to have it up and running in 2022. Cuban says the goal is to produce “radically transparent, low-cost versions of high-cost generic drugs.”
