Longtime Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler passed away Saturday at the age of 82.
Larry Fowler, who was elected sheriff in 2004, died Saturday while surrounded by his family.
Fowler spent his entire career in law enforcement in Parker and Tarrant counties starting in 1965 with the Weatherford Police Department.
He then began a 24-year run with the Department of Justice.
In the mid 90’s, Larry Fowler went back to Parker County where he served in the sheriff’s office and the district attorney’s office before becoming sheriff in 2004.
