Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect Through 6 pm, Sunday

DALLAS – (WBAP/KLIF) National Weather Service officials have issued a severe thunderstorm watch for North Texas through 6 pm Sunday evening.   The area is currently covered with a 50% chance of showers and or a severe thunderstorm this afternoon, lowers to 20% this evening, and is followed by a likely chance of showers Monday.

In the 11 am hour, the National Weather Service added a severe thunderstorm warning alert for all of Denton County. WBAP’s Chief Meteorologist Brad Barton’s reports indicated these storms were moving to the northeast, and packing wind gusts to 25 miles an hour, as well as inch sized hail.
