Governor Greg Abbott announced on Tuesday that Texas businesses could reopen at 100% capacity beginning March 10 and that the statewide mask mandate would also expire on the same day. Texas is now joining Florida in terms of states that are fully reopen and with no mask mandate, as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis allowed the COVID restrictions to ease back in September 2020.
