City of Dallas Begins to Transition Away from Vaccinations at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A new COVID-19 vaccination site is open in the City of Dallas.

The drive-up site is up and running at The Potter’s House, the megachurch founded by T.D Jakes. The location is expected to administer 1,000 shots a day for the next three days. It will open again next week as the city transitions away from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.

“As things open up our convention business needs to open up too,” said Dallas Emergency Management Coordinator, Rocky Vaz. “Keeping that in mind, we have been scouting places all over the city.”

More locations could be added as vaccine supply ramps up. The Potter’s House Site is being operated by medical company AMR. The city said that anyone who received their first shot at the convention center will still be able to get their second dose there.
