Denton; Corinth Police Seek Kidnap Suspect – 2 Women Involved Saturday

DENTON – WBAP/KLIF   Denton and Corinth Police are searching for a man reported to be brandishing a firearm and ordering two women to get inside his vehicle.  The reports of the man, who managed to get one of the women in his vehicle until she was able to jump out down the road, police say, have generated a manhunt this afternoon.

Reports of the attempted kidnapping happened 15 minutes apart Saturday in Denton and Corinth. The Denton woman told police she was walking her dog when the man with a gun pointed it at her and instructed her to get into the vehicle.  Police remind the public never to get inside a vehicle with a dangerous suspect.  Denton Police Department spokeswoman Amy Cunningham says the female victim was lucky to be able to get out of that vehicle within a short distance.

Another, similar complaint came from a female jogger in Corinth within a 15 minute window.  Police describe the wanted as a Black man in his 20s, driving a silver or light blue colored, older SUV with a dark interior.  The suspect is reported to have been wearing a dark colored mask.  You are asked to call 9-1-1 if you think you may have seen this vehicle, or another, acting in an unusual manner that might coincide with this case.
