Royse City Police Officer Struck, Injured by Auto on I-30

ROYSE CITY – WBAP/KLIF – Royse City Police say Officer Michael Baley received non-life threatening injuries when he was struck by a car that left the roadway on I-30 Saturday morning.   Baley was reported to have been helping a stranded motorist alongside I-30 at the time, and was reported to be standing in the grassy median when an automobile left the roadway and struck him

Officer Baley was taken to Baylor Hospital in Dallas for treatment of what the Royse City PD calls minor injuries, and later released.

Department of Public Safety troopers are leading the investigation.

State law requires motorists to slow down or leave the lane when passing an emergency vehicle with emergency lights on.
