Former Texas Lt. Governor Arrested By Dallas Police

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) Former Texas Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst was arrested by Dallas Police Tuesday on a misdemeanor charge of family violence assault. According to police, a woman called late tuesday afternoon saying she was assaulted by a man she knew in the 33-hundred block of West Mockingbird Lane near Dallas Love Field. Police identified that man as Dewhurst. He was booked into the jail just after midnight.  Bail for him had not been set.  Dewhurst was Lt. Governor from 2005 to 2015.
