DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – A North Texas couple is facing charges for their alleged involvement in the January 6 breach of the United States Capitol building.

According to the FBI, Mark and Janise Middleton, of Forestburg in rural Montague County, were arrested this week. A Federal complaint shows surveillance photos taken by Police body cam that captured the couple assaulting the officers with their hands. A Facebook post from Mark Middleton said that the couple was on the front lines of the breach. The post read in part, “We helped push down the barriers. We had to retreat, but more patriots pushed forward, and they’re taking back our house.”

The FBI Dallas Office says it has arrested 22 people in connection to the Capitol breach.

The FBI said that Mark Middleton also posted other videos and photographs to his Facebook profile documenting his visit to Washington, DC on or about January 6, 2021. Three of the photos were taken from various positions within the vicinity of the Capitol building.
