(WBAP/KLIF) — Austin police have discovered the body of a Texas Longhorn’s football player. Fox’s Matt Napolitano says the body was found west of the University of Texas campus, Thursday.
Authorities are investigating the death of redshirt sophomore football player Jake Ehlinger. Jake’s body was found Thursday afternoon. Jake is the younger brother of former Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger. The brothers grew up as Longhorn fans and season ticket holders before committing to the UT program. Police say the cause of death is pending, but investigators believe foul play did not play a part.
Jake Ehlinger was 20 years old. His brother, Sam, was just drafted by the Indianapolis Colts in the 6th round of the NFL draft.
