TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF)- Tim O’Hare, a man of many titles: former Tarrant County Republican Chair, former Farmers Branch Mayor, Lawyer and founder of the Southlake PAC is vying for a new title, the Tarrant County Judge in 2022.
“It seems like our country has been turned upside down on what right is wrong, wrong is right, what up is down and what down is up,” said O’Hare. “We need strong, Christian, conservative leaders that are willing to stand up, speak truth and treat people with respect.”
O’Hare says his goals are to represent with honesty, respect and transparency.
He said he will bring in over 20 years of leadership and management experience to the table. “I have a keen understanding of budgets and how to cut costs, save money and still provide great service,” he said.
O’Hare said one of his biggest priorities is to get property taxes under control in Tarrant County. “We have people leaving Tarrant County because they can’t afford to stay in their home because of high taxes. I want to make sure to get that under control and do my part where ever I can.”
O’Hare also said a main focus would be on election integrity in the county. “I will work with the DA on that, I will work with legislature on that and we will work with the Election Administrator on that to make sure people have trust in the election system in Tarrant County,” he said.
O’Hare said he also wants to bring certain issues to light and make sure people are aware of what’s going on in the county and in schools. For example, Critical Race Theory. O’Hare is the founder of the Southlake Families PAC, an organization formed to counter the Critical Race Theory in Southlake schools.
It’s still early and so far no one has announced to challenge him but he’s garnered endoresements from the Tarrant County Sheriff, the District Clerk, GOP chair and some State Representatives.
“We still have a ways to go but I have always beleived that the early bird gets the worm,” said O’Hare. “As your next County Judge, I promise to work tirelessly to ensure your county government is fair, transparent, and accountable. With well over two decades of business management and leadership experience, I know what it takes to run an operation that is efficient, successful, and fiscally responsible. I won’t back down in tough situations and will always put our Tarrant County taxpayers first. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work, and I would be honored to have you join me!”
