Early Voting Ends Tuesday for June 5th Runoff Elections

NORTH TEXAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – The clock is ticking for North Texans to cast their ballots early in the June 5th city and school board runoff elections.

One of the most watched races being decided are mayoral runoffs in Fort Worth and Arlington.

Mattie Parker, the former Chief of Staff for Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price, and former Tarrant County Democratic Party Chair Deborah Peoples are vying to fill Price’s seat.

Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams is unable to run for re-election due to term limits. Former Arlington police officer and businessman Jim Ross and former Arlington City Council member Michael Glaspie are competing to replace him.

There are six Dallas City Council Races and more than two dozen suburban contests.

In Dallas District 4, school board member Maxie Johnson is trying to oust incumbent Carolyn King Arnold.

Former council member Kevin Felder is going head to head with council member Adam Bazaldua for the District 7 seat.

District 14 incumbent David Blewitt faces former planning commissioner and attorney Paul Ridley. The other three Dallas city council races have no incumbent.

Dallas, Collin and Tarrant Counties have opened countywide voting centers.

If your county participates in the countywide polling place program, you can vote at any location in your county of registration on election day, June 5th.
