Tarrant County Offers COVID-19 Vaccine Clinics at Fort Worth Zoo on Half-Price Wednesdays

FORT WORTH  (WBAP/KLIF News) – Amid a spike in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations nationwide, Tarrant County health officials have ramped up vaccine urgency efforts by partnering with the Fort Worth Zoo.

They’re offering free shots at pop-up clinics at the Zoo on Wednesdays, which are half-priced for patrons.

The clinics will run from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. and administrators will offer the Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines at the Portraits of The Wild Art Gallery.

Anyone over the age of 12 is eligible.

Tarrant County Public Health Director Vinny Teneja said almost 40% of county residents have not been vaccinated.

He warns that such a high percentage could lead to additional outbreaks.

The county continues to offer vaccines at pop-up sites.
