Lake Worth (WBAP/KLIF) – One person is dead after being shot by a Lake Worth police officer overnight during a high speed chase.
Police Chief J.T. Manoushagian says officers attempted a traffic stop on a speeding car with no lights on, on I-20 just after 2am.
One of three suspects was fatally shot after allegedly producing a gun as the trio ran off. No officers were hurt. Teh suspect was transported to a hospital where he died.
The officers involved have been placed on administrative leave as per protocol for police involved shootings.
The Grapevine Police Department is the independent agency investigating the shooting.
