On Tuesday, Governor Abbott signed into law the voting bill that had been delayed by multiple walkouts by Democrats in the Texas legislature. The bill that Dems had said was “voter suppression”. But, ultimately this bill doesn’t change anything from how voting was conducted pre-COVID, it does away with a lot of the COVID measures (like 24-hour voting) that won’t be necessary as the country returns to normal. Maybe that’s why Democrats had such a big problem with it! Cue the mainstream media and the Democrats freaking out about it, even though the truth is that there is nothing in the law that suppresses voters, minorities or otherwise.
