AUSTIN (WBAP/KLIF) – Governor Greg Abbott has signed a bill into law that provides money for schools to resume virtual learning.

The bill was passed in the second legislative session. Districts can allow up to 10% of their students to go to school online. They must have an accountability rating of a C and students could be forced back to campus if their grades drop.

Districts that have already started virtual learning on their own will be reimbursed. Legislators will revisit the bill during the 2023 session.
