Trash Collection Crew Targeted in Deadly Carjacking Attempt in Dallas

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News) – Dallas Police are searching for three suspects involved in a deadly carjacking attempt at an apartment complex near Kessler Park overnight.

A trio of trash collectors were targeted in the attack.

Investigators said one of the men was shot and killed by three men who approached them while they were working at the Grand Estates at Kessler Park apartments on Beckley Avenue near Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

The other worker was pistol whipped before the suspects took off in the victims’ pickup truck. A third worker was able to escape the situation unharmed.

The vehicle was found abandoned about a mile away.

Police are asking anyone with information to contact the department.
