Police Procession Honors Dallas Police Officer Who Died of COVID-19

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – A police procession was held Thursday afternoon in honor of a Dallas Police officer who lost his 4-month battle to COVID-19.

Dozens of police vehicles with flashing lights followed behind as Senior Corporal Arnulfo Pargas‘ body was escorted from UT Southwestern hospital to the Hughes Family Tribute Center in Dallas.

Pargas served the DPD for 20 years, mostly out of the Lake West office.

Several North Texas law enforcement officers have died of COVID this year.

COVID-19 was the leading cause of the for law enforcement officers last and is tracking to be the #1 cause of death for officers around the country this year as well.
