Burn Ban Issued for Tarrant County

TARRANT COUNTY (WBAP/KLIF) – The Texas Forest Service has determined unincorporated areas of Tarrant County are under drought conditions prompting commissioners to issue a burn ban. All outdoor burning is prohibited for the next 90 days. At that time commissioners will revisit the issue.
As a precaution people who live in rural areas should keep grass around their homes mowed.

For information on outdoor cooking and outdoor welding guidelines, you can go to http://access.tarrantcounty.com/en/fire-marshal.html and scroll down to the Outdoor Burning icon.
Anyone violating the burn ban could be fined up to $500.00.
