
FORT HOOD (WBAP/KLIF News) – A Fort Hood soldier who was deemed missing over the weekend has been found and is safe with family.
According to Fort Hood officials, Pfc. Jennifer Sewell, was last seen leaving her on-post barracks around 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 7.
She was reported missing after she didn’t show up for work and didn’t respond to calls from her superiors, her family or law enforcement.
Sewell’s family confirmed to her superiors on Sunday that she was safe.
“Pfc. Sewell is a valued member of our team, and our number one priority is ensuring her safe return. We are in regular contact with her family and will provide any assistance she and her family may need to return to Fort Hood,” said Ltc. Octavia Davis, commander of Regimental Support Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment.
No additional details surrounding her absence from Fort Hood have been released.
