Thousands of North Texans Lose Power in Severe Storms

(WBAP/KLIF) — Severe weather pounded North Texas, Sunday night, damaging trees and downing power lines. 70 mile an hour winds were recorded during the storms, causing sporadic damage to various neighborhoods in the Metroplex.

The storms knocked the electricity out for thousands in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, as Oncor crews worked throughout the night to restore power. Oncor officials still report more than 11,000 customers without power in North Texas.
