
Arlington, TX (WBAP/KLIF) – A Timberview High School teacher in who was shot during a shooting at the school last week was released from the hospital on Monday.
25-year old Calvin Pettit, an English teacher, was among those who tried to break up a fight that preceded the shooting.
Meantime, 15-year student Zacchaeus Selby, who was shot four times during the incident remains hospitalized — his condition upgraded to fair after being placed in a medically-induced coma last week.
Selby was allegedly seen on video viciously beating Timothy Simpkins, the 18-year old charged in connection with the shooting. Simpkins’ family says that he had been bullied for weeks before the incident.
Meantime, classes resume today for the first time since the shooting on Wednesday October 6.
Timberview is part of Mansfield ISD, and located in Arlington.
