Texas Man Sentenced in January 6th Breach of the Capitol

(WBAP/KLIF) — A Texas man gets his sentence for participating in the January 6th breech of the U.S. Capitol.

U.S. District Court Judge Trevor McFadden sentenced 53 year old Eliel Rosa to 12 months probation. The Midland man was originally charged with 5 counts, including a felony charge of obstruction which carries a penalty of up to 20 years if convicted. However, Rosa pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of demonstrating in a capitol building because he turned himself in.

Rosa, who is not a U.S. citizen, could face immigration issues in pursuing citizenship.
