Two Killed in Fort Worth Hit-and-Run, Search for Suspect Continues

FORT WORTH (WBAP/KLIF News) – Fort Worth police are hoping a tip will come in about the driver involved in a hit-and-run that killed two people over the weekend.

12-year-old Allison Zarate and 20-year-old Bella Vasquez died from their injuries.

They were among three people involved in a fender bender who were walking along I-20 Westbound between McCart and James Avenues in order to get help when they were hit early Saturday morning.

Vasquez died at the scene and Zarate died Sunday afternoon.

The third victim is still hospitalized.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward and are also reminding residents about the dangers of walking along the freeway.

Family and friends created a GoFundMe campaign for Vasquez to help cover funeral expenses.
