Midlothian (WBAP/KLIF) – Due to an expected shortage of substitute teachers and buses on Friday [Nov 19], students and staff at Midlothian Independent School District have a day off.

In a written statement, the district said that some students and teachers will be traveling for sporting and other events Friday. MISD says that it utilizes teachers from their elementary and middle schools to assist with its 18 high school student organizations.
The YMCA is providing child-care for a fee to parents who need it…parents will need to pack a lunch for their kids.
Meantime,the MISD School Board last night approved a one-time supplemental payment of $1,500 for full-time staff and $750 for part-time staff.
