(WBAP/KLIF) — An early-morning 3-alarm fire sends Fort Worth residents into streets, Monday.

The fire broke out at Cassidy Apartment Complex on Fort Worth’s west side at around 3:00 am. Firefighters brought 28 pieces of equipment to battle the blaze, which forced the closure of Normadale street.
Mike Forbes with WFAA, says crews quickly extinguished the fire, which damaged 16 units. No one was injured in the fire, which officials say began in a second story apartment.
The Fort Worth Fire Department had 28 pieces of equipment on scene to battle the blaze, while the Red Cross administered relief to the roughly 40 residents displaced by the fire.
