Washington (WBAP/KLIF) – Texas U.S. Senator Ted Cruz was blasted by FOX News host Tucker Carlson for comments made this week leading up to the Capitol riot anniversary. Cruz was addressing a Senate Rules Committee hearing when he praised the bravery and courgage of the Capitol Police who defended those who serve in the Capitol Building.
An outraged Carlson reacted during his show last night saying that the January 6th incident which saw Trump supports fighting police, breaking windows and doors of the building among other things, “was not a violent terrorist attack.”
Carlson went on to say that it was not an insurrection, but did say that it was a riot.
Carlson accused the ultra-conservative Cruz, along with ome other conservatives of “repeating the talking points that Merrick Garland has written.”
