(WBAP/KLIF) — Officials say a 41-year-old West Texas sheriff’s deputy has died after a crash with a semi truck.
A Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman says Loving County Deputy Lorin Readmond was driving to help another officer on a call, when she collided with a tractor-trailer. Sergeant Steven Blanco says Readmond was pronounced dead at the scene and the semi driver was not hurt nor charged with a crime.
He says the crash occurred at around 4:30 Saturday afternoon and is being investigated by the Texas Highway Patrol.
