(WBAP/KLIF DALLAS)- The owner of a small retail/delicatessen store in Richardson suggests calls by North American politicians to stop selling and/or throw out Russian made goods is disrespectful and hurtful to the Russian citizens who make them.
Lev Goldberg owns Euro Deli on Coit Road in Richardson, between Belt Line and Arapaho Roads. A full half of food products he sells are from Russia and Ukraine. Goldberg reminds us public backlash against any and all things Russian hurts individual Russians who rely on those jobs to feed their families, and the actions hurt all Russians, while he believes it is one man responsible for the current war in Ukraine; Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Goldberg says shipments of the Russian and Ukrainian goods have stopped, and there’s some already difficulty sourcing some of those products from warehouses of the usual suppliers. He says D-F-W citizens who purchase and like these products are already buying in bulk to try to ensure they do not run out before the war is over and the shipments flow again.
