Dallas: Mass Shooting at Spring Break Party Injures 10 People; Suspect At-Large

Dallas (WBAP/KLIF) – Gunfire erupted outside South Dallas venue late Saturday night injuring ten people. It happened just before midnight during a spring break part at ‘The Space’ on Botham Jean Blvd near US 175.

Dallas police say someone who was trying to get into the party got angry when security tried to take away a gun that he had on his possession. A witness told WFAA who was on the scene for crowd control told WFAA-TV that the suspect “got into his car and started firing” in all directions.

One victim, an 18-year old was shot in the head; the youngest victim is 14 years old.

The suspect is still at-large. Dallas police are asking anyone with cellphone video of the incident to contact the department.

Meantime, in Austin over the weekend, four people were injured in shootings along the city’s popular nightclub alley Sixth Street over the weekend.

An hours long manhunt for the suspect early Sunday morning netted several arrests; one of whom police believe to be the suspect.

Austin police say four people suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
