Texas Leads the Nation in Population Growth

(WBAP/KLIF) — One North Texas county ranked number one in the country for its population boom. The United States Census Bureau, Thursday, released numbers showing Rockwall as the nation’s fastest growing county in the country. The North Texas county increased by 6.5% from 2020 to 2021.

Five Texas cities rank in the top 15 on the U.S. Census Bureau’s list of largest population gainers. The bureau released figures, Thursday, showing that San Antonio topped the list with an increase of almost 14,000 residents from 2020 to 2021. Fort Worth finished 3rd in the country with a gain of nearly 13,000, while Frisco was 9th, Denton 14th, and McKinney 15th.

According to WFAA, Dallas didn’t make the list as the city lost nearly 15,000 residents since 2019.
