HAWAII (WBAP/KLIF News ) – Hawaii Police arrested an OnlyFans model and Instagram influencer accused in the stabbing death of her North Texas boyfriend in Miami in April.
The Miami Herald reported that 26-year-old Courtney Clenney was taken into custody on Wednesday in Hawaii and will be extradited to Miami-Dade County to face trial in 27-year-old Christian Toby Obumseli of Richardson’s killing.
Clenney’s defense attorney Frank Prieto confirmed the arrest and told The Miami Herald and she’d been in a rehabilitation facility in Hawaii for substance abuse and post-traumatic stress disorder.
She faces a charge of second-degree murder with a deadly weapon.
The charges stem from an incident at a Miami high rise, when officers responded to a 911 call and found Obumseli with a knife wound to the chest. He later died at a nearby hospital.
Clenney claimed it was self-defense. Obumseli’s family has publicly disputed the allegations that Christian was ever a threat to his then girlfriend.
In a GoFundMe page, the family described Obumseli as extremely passionate and uplifting. “We will never forget his infectious smile that could light up any room or his caring spirit.”
The family said they want justice to be served in Christian’s death.
