Uvalde CISD Officer Fired Following Scathing Report

UVALDE (WBAP/KLIF) – There’s more fallout over the Police response to May’s elementary school massacre in Uvalde.

The CNN report said that a former DPS trooper under investigation for the failed Police response to the Robb Elementary school massacre was hired by the Uvalde school district ahead of this school year.

In response to the report, the district fired the officer on Thursday.

“We are deeply distressed by the information that was disclosed [Wednesday] evening concerning on of our recently hired employees, Crimson Elizondo,” the district said in a statement. “We sincerely apologize to the victim’s families and the greater Uvalde community for the pain this revelation has caused.

The fired officer is also said to have been heard telling other troopers on the day of the massacre that if her son had been in the classroom, she would’ve rushed in.
