SCOTUS Rejects Request in Amber Guyger Case

(WBAP/KLIF) – A denial by the United States Supreme Court on Monday upholds the 2019 murder conviction of former Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger.

The High Court rejected a request to take up Guyger’s case.

Guyger was convicted in the 2018 murder of Botham Jean inside his home, and is serving a 10 year prison sentence.

At trial, and on appeal, Guyger’s attorneys argued she mistook Jean’s apartment for her own before killing the 26-year-old accountant.
