Fort Worth’s Stock Show and Rodeo Legend W.R. Bob Watt Passes

FORT WORTH – (WBAP/KLIF) – Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo legend W.R. “Bob” Watt has passed away at the age of 88; sources say he died peacefully at home on Wednesday.

Watt played a key role in the stock show’s growth, beginning in college, and then onto the Board of Directors in 1958, where he sat for more than 60 years; also, President and President Emeritus.

Watt worked with city officials to oversee significant improvements in the Will Rogers Memorial Center. Participation in livestock and horse shows now tops 30-thousand entries every year.
