DENTON (WBAP/KLIF) – 28 year old Tony Gray was taken into custody after Denton police saw him removing the license plate on a 2007 Hyundai Elantra – a vehicle suspected in the death of a pedestrian on Thanksgiving night. Police also discovered that Gray planned to have the vehicle destroyed.
Denton PD had received various tips from the public. At least one of these tips led detectives to Gray, a Denton resident.
He is charged with Tampering or Fabricating Physical Evidence with the Intent to Impair or Destroy, and Accident Involving Personal Injury or Death.
The victim was 62 year old David Phillips.
