(WBAP/KLIF) — This May, Denton City voters will see one candidate’s name on the ballot twice. Denton City Councilman Jesse Davis has been accused of not representing District #3 residents.

275 residents signed the petition that claims Davis did not support Proposition B, which decriminalized marijuana, and he failed to back a resolution to support abortion rights. Davis says he accepted Proposition B election results along with the rest of the city council, but did not support the pro-abortion measure.
A unanimous vote by the city council puts one councilman up for a recall election. Davis says he’s reached out to those responsible for the petition, but hasn’t received a response. The city councilman is up for re-election this year already, and says voters will see his re-election and recall election on the May 6th ballot.
