(WBAP/KLIF) — With 67 mass shootings across the United States in 2023, law enforcement agencies are beefing up training.

Fort Worth Police are offering Active Shooter Response Training for all interested school district employees beginning on February 26th. According to Fort Worth Police Officer Daniel Segura, the 7-hour training will consist of classroom work and reality-based scenarios, taught by current and former law enforcement officers. The course covers three areas, (1) .civilian response to an active shooter event, (2) stop-the-bleed, and (3) scenario based training.
Segura says the training can be vital to saving lives and is open to all school district employees throughout the area, regardless of city affiliation. Click here to sign up for the free Active Shooter Response Training.
