Texas Appeals Court reverses dismissal of sexual assault civil suit against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones will face a court date in April. A Court of Appeals has stricken down a dismissal against a claim from a woman that Jones sexually assaulted her.

The original petition was filed in 2020, against Jones and the Cowboys by an anonymous woman using the pseudonym Jane Doe.

In the suit, she alleges that Jones kissed her on the mouth and forcibly grabbed her without consent in 2018, and that the Cowboys organization knew — or should have known — of his misconduct.

A juried civil trial has been scheduled for April 10.
