Cowboys Hall of Famer Addresses Super Bowl Hotel Incident

UPDATE 12:30 p.m.

DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF) – Former Dallas Cowboys playmaker Michael Irvin is frustrated over recent misconduct allegations against him.

Irvin was taken off of ESPN and NFL broadcasts Super Bowl Week when allegations surfaced about an inappropriate encounter with a Marriott employee in the hotel lobby. Two men who witnessed the conversation say nothing happened. The woman and hotel haven’t expanded on their story.

Irvin became emotional when speaking to reporters on Wednesday at his attorney’s office in Dallas when addressing the accusations.

“This just blows my mind that in 2023 we’re still dragging and hanging brothers by a tree,” Irvin said.

Irvin’s attorney has seen surveillance video, but says the hotel won’t release it publicly. Irvin is suing the Marriott, and the employee, for $100 million in Collin County for defamation.
