
DALLAS (WBAP/KLIF News ) – An apparent joy ride on stolen horses left one person dead and two others injured in South Dallas Tuesday morning.
Investigators said it happened along Great Trinity Forest Way near Julius Schepps Freeway. A car crashed into the group around 5:30.
A 14-year-old died at the scene and a 16-year-old and 17-year-old were taken to the hospital in stable condition.
One horse died from injuries and another was euthanized by a veterinarian at the crash site. The third horse was injured but is expected to live.
Police said the driver stayed on the scene after the crash and that no charges are expected to be filed.
