Is a Narcan distribution program and Narcan resuscitation stations needed in all school districts?
(Tarrant County (WBAP/KLIF) – Amid a growing number of youth overdose incidents around the metroplex, Tarrant County’s primary ambulance service, MedStar, is working with an unnamed independent school district in an effort to prevent overdose fatalities.
MedStar’s Matt Zavadsky says the agency has examined data for school districts across the community it serves and found “a little bit concerning,” the number of overdoses among youth as well as adults.
MedStar is working with an unnamed school district is working on two a the a Narcan distribution program and Narcan narcan resuscitation stations for all of its schools.
Zavadsky said that all school districts should look into such programs.
