Plano Police Bust Retail Theft Ring

PLANO (WBAP/KLIF) – More than $15,000 in stolen merchandise from big store retailers has been recovered by the Plano Police Department.

According to Plano PD, the department’s General and Forgery Detectives conducted a loss prevention operation in partnership with several major retailers in Plano last Friday. During the operation, several thousands of dollars in property was recovered and 11 arrests were made.

Suspects were arrested following a traffic stop, and the stolen property was recovered along with a vehicle full of stolen merchandise from other retailers. All Suspects in this case were charged with Engaging in Organized Crime.

Detectives made a total of eleven arrests and recovered a total of $15,494.35 in stolen merchandise from Plano stores including Burlington Coat Factory at 1701 Preston Road, the Walmart Supercenter at 1700 Dallas Pkwy, and Home Depot at 6200 W. Park Blvd.
