Texas Job Report Soars with Flying Colors

(WBAP/KLIF) — Good news for the Texas job market. The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) released its February numbers, indicating the state leads the nation in job creation over the past 12 months.

Texas added 58,200 new jobs in February, leading all other states in jobs added over the last month. In all, the state topped 13.8 million total nonfarm jobs. February also marks two full years of uninterrupted monthly job growth in Texas, with over 611,000 jobs added since February of 2022.

the job outlook report contains a favorable outlook for the lone star state.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased by a tenth of a percentage point to 4% percent, however, the civilian labor force increased by almost 65,000 people, the largest monthly increase since September of 2020.
